The Marketplace Efficiency teams at Uber are focused on maximizing the supply/demand match efficiency of every Uber market through enhancements to supply efficiency, rider/driver matching optimization, supply positioning, demand forecasting, and dynamic pricing. I spent my first seven months at Uber building and leading the uberPOOL team, creating and crafting the rider experience, driver experience, matching algorithms, and dispatching logic. I’m now leading the team that owns the matching, ranking, and planning algorithms and services at the core of Uber’s realtime production dispatch engine. We’re reinventing dispatch with the goals of improving the overall efficiency and utilization of Uber’s fleet of supply, lowering cost & ETAs for riders, increasing revenue for driver partners, and enabling products in entirely new marketplaces.
