Julie joined Scripps Networks Interactive in 2013 as the Design Director for Travel Channel’s digital properties, bringing her mobile expertise to a team that had traditionally been desktop-focused. She works in tandem with the design teams from HGTV, Food Network and all other Scripps subsidiaries, collaborating on web and native mobile product user experiences. Most recently, she launched Travel Channel’s first adaptive website – redesigned and reengineered on a bright, shiny, new platform – shifting the site’s purpose to not only support the television network, but to also set the groundwork to be a discovery and planning travel tool.
Prior to Scripps, Julie ran the social applications design team at MicroStrategy, and led the AIM product design team at Aol. She has a broad range of design experience across multiple industries and mediums, with a passion for product design – building simple, scalable, user centered experiences that enhance people’s lives.
